Insanis Echoes was my graduation project at Nacka Strands Gymnasium. We were tasked with working on a long term project in either Unreal Engine 4 or Gamemaker Studio 2. My group decided on Unreal 4 as it was what we felt more familiar and comfortable with, not to mention that we wanted to go ahead and push ourselves. When starting we had around 2 years of prior Unreal experience from our education, and our team consisted of three artists and two designers, although even us designers took partial responsibility for art asset creation as well.
We’d decided to release the game on Itch.io as well, where it managed to garner over 1000 downloads in total since release. The project also landed us a meeting with the school’s principal as well as the CEO of the school’s management company.
